Senior Advocacy Resource Group of Ahwatukee (SAGA) Training

Feb 22 4:00pm - 5:00pm Older Adults Ministry

The Senior Advocacy Resource Group of Ahwatukee (SAGA) was founded in 2011 to provide resources, education, and advocacy for the senior population in Ahwatukee. In 2018, SAGA will partner with four Ahwatukee churches to train volunteers on how to reach out to the isolated and lonely seniors in our church communities.

Corpus Christi will expand our Older Adults Ministry by being the first of the four churches to offer this training. Join us on Thu, Feb 22 from 4:00-5:00pm in rooms 7 & 8.

If you have any questions or would like to become involved in this advocacy effort, please contact Vicki McAllister at 602-397-3708.

Vicki is SAGA's 2018 Chairperson and the Case Manager for YOPAS (the YMCA Outreach Program for Ahwatukee Seniors). She will be working with YOPAS' Program Director, Jill Sears to provide the training for volunteers from Corpus Christi as well as the three other churches: St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Desert Foothills United Methodist Church, and Mountain View Lutheran Church.
