We invite you to join us in celebrating Simbang Gabi – a Filipino Christmas tradition that takes place on the nine evenings leading up to Christmas, Sun, Dec 15 - Mon, Dec 23.
The novena begins on Sun, Dec 15 at St. Mary’s Basilica in Phoenix.
This special evening includes a presentation on the 355-year tradition of Simbang Gabi and a procession of intricate lanterns (5:00-6:00pm). Mass will be celebrated by Bishop John Dolan, along with Filipino priests of Arizona at 6:00pm and will be followed by a reception featuring traditional Filipino delicacies such as adobo, lechon, pansit, and more.
From Mon, Dec 16 - Mon, Dec 23, the celebration will continue at Corpus Christi, culminating in a joyful Christmas Evening Party on Mon, Dec 23 at 7:00pm.
This event, hosted by the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Community Prayer Group, in collaboration with Rev. Rey Clutario, the Couples for Christ Choir, and the Mass Liturgy Participants.
